Study Mode On Campus

This course provides a pathway to a wide range of other qualifications in visual arts and craft, and more broadly, the creative industries.

There are a great many opportunities within the art area from production of small local products to be sold in markets, pop-up shop initiatives, art competitions, art as an engagement pathway for other non-profit organisations, as well as production of works available through local galleries to large works such as paintings, jewelry, ephemeral installations, public art and sculptures for the community and local organisations.

Classes are often held in the evenings and depend upon industry demand. It is recommended to complete one or two units only per term.

Throughout the course, students will gain skills in:

  • Occupational Safety and Health
  • Basic drawing techniques
  • Design Process
  • Printmaking skills
  • Sculptural skills
  • Ceramics

This course is suited to you if:

  • You have a significant interest in the area
  • You have some form of art experience from either participating in an arts event, gained informal learning experiences from watching online art videos, attended weekend workshops or even participated in a home model based micro business.
