Employment Register - Cleaner
North Regional TAFE is interested in hearing from enthusiastic individuals to join our team of Cleaners.
North Regional TAFE is establishing an employment register to fill any Cleaner positions that may become available across the College at short notice. Work locations may vary and some vacancies may be based in Karratha, Broome or South Hedland.
As a Cleaner, you play an important role in maintaining the general cleanliness, hygiene and presentation of the College’s campus and student accommodation. Under the direction and supervision of the Head Cleaner, you will perform daily cleaning duties, periodic deep cleaning of walls and floors as well as regular cleaning of College vehicles and maintenance of cleaning equipment.

About the role
We’re seeking an experienced and passionate Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) Lecturer to lead our Skills for Education and Employment programs. This role supports adult learners in developing essential language, literacy, numeracy, and foundational skills for further education and or employment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering engaging, culturally safe education to adult learners from diverse backgrounds
- Assess learners using the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) and tailor delivery to individual needs
- Apply a range of teaching strategies and flexible assessment methods
- Ensure program delivery meets all compliance, administrative, and quality standards
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment
The successful candidate will have:
- Specialisation in Literacy and Numeracy (General and Distance Learning) with one of the following:
- TAESS00009 Address Foundation Skills in Vocational Practice Skill Set, OR
- A higher education qualification in adult LLN, OR
- Bachelor of Education (or equivalent) with TESOL, secondary, adult, or vocational education focus
- Applicants with a relevant mix of qualifications or over five years of experience working with foundation-level and culturally diverse adult learners are encouraged to apply and may be considered at the discretion of the panel.
- Knowledge and/or experience delivering government-funded foundation skills programs (e.g. Skills for Education and Employment, General Certificate in Education, Work skills (certificate I and II levels)
- Demonstrate understanding of the Australian Core Skills Framework
- Demonstrated success in teaching culturally diverse learners
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and online learning platforms (e.g. Moodle, Blackboard Collaborate)
There is a minimum qualification required to deliver accredited vocational education and training (VET) as defined by the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015 (Standards), or its successors. The current minimum qualification required is the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or TAE40116 or TAE40110) or a secondary teaching qualification with an Assessor Skill Set (TAESS00011 or TAESS00019 or TAESS00024). Or can demonstrate current progress or a willingness to obtain it if required.

About the Position
This position is responsible for assisting students with a disability to fully participate in the learning environment and successfully complete training and assessment requirements.
This position will be responsible for (but not limited to):
- Provide personal support and assistance to students with disability within the learning environment, taking into account barriers to learning identified in referral and subsequent processes, ensuring appropriate regard for Work Health and Safety requirements, College policies and professional boundaries.
- Identify and implement effective working practices with students including clarifying information, practicing tasks as directed by lecturers, assisting with access to adaptive and assistive technology and appropriate learning resources, and any other tasks as determined by a student’s vocational training needs.
- Maintain student records including factual notes regarding learning support delivered and/or needed by students, and where required seek guidance and assistance to address needs.

North Regional TAFE are seeking to establish an open recruitment pool. This pool will be used to appoint suitable applicants as vacancies arise, which may include full-time, part-time, casual, permanent or fixed-term vacancies, with the possibility of further extension(s) and/or permanency.
We currently have a full-time permanent position for immediate filling at either Karratha or Pundulmurra campus, with the option to negotiate the location.

About the Position
We are looking for an inspirational lecturer who is passionate about passing their vocation onto the workforce of the future.
This position will be delivering health and nursing qualifications such as 52895WA Certificate IV in Preparation for Health and Nursing Studies and HLT54121 Diploma of Nursing and associated short courses and skill sets.
To be successful, you will have the following…
- Significant relevant industry/ vocational or lecturing experience (minimum of 5 years)
- Relevant vocational qualifications and/or competencies at least to the level to be delivered and assessed including:
- At least 5 years' experience, including recent experience in a Nursing or health role;
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent; or health professional with experience in a health or health science field;
- AHPRA registration as applicable
It is preferred that applicants already possess a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or can demonstrate willingness or progression towards achieving it.

North Regional TAFE is seeking to establish a recruitment pool to appoint suitable applicants as vacancies arise. This is an open pool recruitment process which means there is no closing date for applications and the following should be noted:
- you can submit your application at any time.
- assessment of applications is expected to be conducted every 3 months; however, we may assess applications at other times depending on operational needs

This position will be delivering Certificate I, II, III, IV in Conservation and Ecosystem Management; Certificate II and III in Horticulture and associated short courses and skill sets such as chemical handling and chainsaw at Karratha and Broome campuses. Considerable travel will be required for this role.
