This course is low fee* for residents of Western Australia and temporary residents holding certain visa types. An annual fee cap of $400 for those aged 15-24 or concession holders or $1,200 for everyone else, applies to this course. Some eligibility conditions apply for the low fee training and other fees may apply for some courses. Please refer to the FAQs for more information. 

*Please note that eligibility requirements apply to some of the low fee training.

The Certificate II in Hospitality is your gateway to a vibrant career in the hospitality industry. 

This Qualification covers essential skills such as customer service, workplace safety, and effective teamwork. This hands-on program prepares students for success in hotels, restaurants, events, and more.
Students will learn about food and beverage preparation, serving coffee and non-alcoholic beverages, interacting with customers and dealing with people from other cultures.
Whether you're entering the industry or upskilling, this course is your foundation for a thriving future in hospitality.
This course is delivered at North Regional TAFE's newly completed, state-of-the-art Hospitality Training Centres.

 

Throughout this course, you will gain skills in:

  • Food and beverage preparation, including creating espresso coffee, smoothies, juices, and milkshakes
  • Sourcing and applying industry-relevant information
  • Interacting with customers and providing excellent service to people from various backgrounds
  • Working safely, hygienically, and effectively as part of a team
  • Using a point-of-sale system for transactions
  • Demonstrating social and cultural sensitivity in a diverse hospitality environment
