Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander arts are an exciting and essential part of Australia's diverse contemporary culture and national identity.
This course is designed for students who identify as Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander.
Throughout this course students will gain skills in:
- Basic drawings techniques
- Painting skills
- Printmaking skills
- Sculptural skills
- Textile work
- Occupational safety and health
- Operation of digital devices
- You have a significant interest in the area
- You have some form of art experience from either participating in an arts event, gained informal learning experiences from watching online art videos, attended weekend workshops or even participated in a home model based micro business.
North Regional TAFE will deliver this program of training over a period of 12 months with up to 10 hours per week of study, including face to face training, self-paced study and research and practice in own time.
