In June 2024, after four years of dedication and hard work, 13 North Regional TAFE Karratha students successfully completed the Capstone Exam, marking the final step toward earning their Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician qualification! 🎉
“As one of their lecturers, I have been greatly privileged to see this group of 13 Apprentices progress through their Certificate III in Electrotechnology Apprenticeship from start to finish.
One thing that I am sure of is that I will run into them in the future out there in the wide world of Electrotechnology, or they may even become Lecturers themselves one day. I hope when they decide to hang up their tools after many years in the field and pass on their knowledge to the next Generation, just like I have satisfyingly done myself, with no regrets.
I wish the graduates well in their electrical journeys and above all, for them to be safe and remember 'Working Live Kills, Switch the Power Off, Always'.” - Roger Shordon, Lecturer Electrical.
This qualification equips students with the skills to work as a qualified electrician by meeting the ERAC requirements to gain an ‘Electrician’s licence’. If you're looking to study and jump straight into the workforce, our Apprenticeship and Traineeship courses are perfect for you!
“The only way to fail is to not try. Anyone can achieve anything with effort and persistence, so I would recommend Electrotechnology as an Apprenticeship not only for the great money that can be made but also great for continued brain stimulating maintenance.” - Roger Shordon, Lecturer Electrical.
