Congratulations to Laurenzia Divilli – Winner of the WA Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student of the Year 2025! 🎉

Laurenzia has been officially named the 2025 WA Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student of the Year, recognizing her passion, determination, and commitment to personal and professional growth.

She completed a Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy at North Regional TAFE in Broome, where she gained both practical and theoretical expertise in skincare, makeup, waxing, nail care, and salon operations. Driven by a strong desire to represent Indigenous women in the beauty industry and inspire others to pursue their goals, Laurenzia embraced her training to challenge herself and promote the value of self-care.

Beyond her beauty qualifications, Laurenzia has also achieved Leadership and Business credentials and currently works in administration, where she continues to broaden her professional skills. Looking ahead, she’s focused on her future goals—which include managing a salon or launching her own beauty business.

🙌 Well done, Laurenzia—an inspiring role model and a well-deserved award recipient!

WA Trainer of the Year 2025 Goes to... Chanelle Williams! 🤩🥳

Proudly sponsored by the Training Accreditation Council Western Australia, the WA Trainer of the Year Award celebrates innovation, excellence, and dedication in vocational education - and Chanelle Williams has truly exemplified all of this and more!

Chanelle is our Early Childhood Education and Care Lecturer, and she has been fundamental in leading and strengthening the Early Childhood Education and Care team across the Kimberley and Pilbara regions.

Among her many achievements, Chanelle played a key role in the development of an Early Childhood Skillset Pilot Program, aimed at attracting local residents to the sector. Her collaboration with the Ngunga Group Women’s Aboriginal Corporation in Derby led to a culturally responsive training model that significantly boosted Aboriginal student participation.

Chanelle continually goes above and beyond adapting her training delivery to support diverse learners, particularly those facing barriers to education. Her commitment and leadership are making a real difference in the lives of students and communities alike.

🙌 Congratulations, Chanelle, on this well-deserved recognition!

Congratulations to Cadie Doyle – Winner of the WA School-based Apprentice of the Year 2025! 🎉

Proudly sponsored by the Construction Training Fund, Cadie Doyle has been named the 2025 WA School-based Apprentice of the Year, celebrating her passion, dedication, and impressive achievements in the engineering field.

Cadie completed a Certificate II in Engineering through North Regional TAFE, is employed by Category 5 Labour Management, and is currently hosted at BHP Rail as part of her school-based apprenticeship. Her interest in engineering began in Year 9, when a metalwork class sparked her curiosity and love for hands-on work—especially welding. She found real satisfaction in creating projects from scratch and has continued to thrive in the field.

At BHP Rail, Cadie is gaining valuable real-world experience in MIG and stick welding, grinding, and maintaining safe, efficient work environments. She credits her apprenticeship with helping her build confidence, develop strong teamwork and leadership skills, and discover a deep passion for the trade.

With a keen interest in continuing her journey in engineering, Cadie is excited about the future and committed to building a successful, fulfilling career in the industry.

🙌 Well done, Cadie – a well-deserved recognition for a rising star in engineering!
