Award Winners Announced
The Rio Tinto Leadership Awards aim to celebrate and reward nominated Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students while encouraging further study, increasing skills, building confidence, and opening doors to employment opportunities.
Open to all North Regional TAFE students in the Broome, Bidyadanga, Derby and Dampier Peninsula region, the awards provide a valuable platform to recognise and uplift emerging leaders from across the Kimberley.
We proudly held the first of three Leadership Awards Graduation Ceremonies on Friday 30 May 2025, where 12 outstanding students were recognised for their dedication, leadership, and academic success.
Out of 20 inspiring applicants, the following students were announced as 2025 award recipients:
These students are leading by example, showing whatβs possible through determination, hard work, and a strong sense of cultural pride.
Congratulations to all the winners, and thank you to Rio Tinto for their continued support in making these awards possible.
Keep an eye out for the next nomination round β and help us celebrate our region's future leaders!
