The delivery of this Skill Set will be a combination of theory and practical skills delivered over 2 days. You will prepare to:
- Learn relevant codes of practice, manufacturer instructions, and workplace emergency response procedures.
- Perform pre-operational checks on firefighting equipment.
- Select and use appropriate firefighting equipment.
- Master handling and operation techniques for fire extinguishers, hoses, and more.
- Apply firefighting techniques within a team, following protocols.
- Comply with safety regulations and organizational policies.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of firefighting equipment and techniques.
- Communicate and coordinate effectively during firefighting operations.
- Seek guidance from experienced team members to improve your skills.
