The delivery of this Skill Set will be a combination of theory and practical skills delivered over 2 days. You will prepare to:

  • Learn relevant codes of practice, manufacturer instructions, and workplace emergency response procedures. 
  • Perform pre-operational checks on firefighting equipment. 
  • Select and use appropriate firefighting equipment. 
  • Master handling and operation techniques for fire extinguishers, hoses, and more. 
  • Apply firefighting techniques within a team, following protocols. 
  • Comply with safety regulations and organizational policies. 
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of firefighting equipment and techniques. 
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively during firefighting operations. 
  • Seek guidance from experienced team members to improve your skills.
