This short course will provide you with an introduction to: Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint.

At the completion of this course you should be able to:

Microsoft Word:
  • work with the basic features of Word
  • create a new document
  • select and work with text in a document
  • use a range of font formatting techniques
  • cut and copy information within and between documents
  • format paragraphs
  • print a document
  • create and modify tables
Microsoft Excel:
  • navigate your way around Microsoft Excel 2016
  • create and work with a new workbook
  • make changes to data in a workbook
  • understand and work with ranges in a worksheet
  • copy and paste data in Excel
  • use the fill operations available to fill a data series
  • move the contents of cells and ranges within and between workbooks
  • understand, create and work with formulas and functions
  • use font formatting techniques
  • align the contents of cells in a number of ways
  • format rows and columns in a worksheet
  • understand and use the number formatting features in Excel
  • print your workbook data
Microsoft Outlook:
  • start Microsoft Outlook and navigate its key features
  • create and send email messages
  • receive emails in your Inbox and then work with them
  • competently work with file and item attachments within email messages
  • create a new presentation
  • create and work effectively with themes
  • insert text into a slide and apply basic formatting
