Community services workers require a diverse set of skills to respond to increasingly complex client care needs. These skills include providing crisis support, managing caseloads, developing programs and developing prevention and intervention strategies.
This course is low fee* for residents of Western Australia and temporary residents holding certain visa types. An annual fee cap of $400 for those aged 15-24 or concession holders or $1,200 for everyone else, applies to this course. Some eligibility conditions apply for the low fee training and other fees may apply for some courses. Please refer to the FAQs for more information.

Throughout this Qualification, students will learn how to design and deliver accessible programs that enhance community participation and are in line with the legal and ethical requirements of the community services sector.
This course focuses on equipping students with skills in advanced communication, group work, training, community provision and program development. Students will also develop the skills to support colleagues in a supervisory or team management capacity.
The Diploma of Community Services provides a viable entry pathway into university study in to an approved social work degree.

This course is designed for people wishing to expand their career in Community Services into leadership and management roles. Students will either be already working in a leadership role within their organisation or be able to complete a practicum at a suitable community services workplace.
