Work Health and Safety (WHS) plays an important function in most industries and workplaces.
There is a growing demand for individuals with an existing trade or business qualification to upskill in Work Health and Safety. This combination provides an advantage in securing roles in the mining, construction and manufacturing industries in North West Australia.

The Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety has been designed to equip you with the skills to provide advice and assist with improving safety in your workplace.
Throughout this course, students will learn about compliance with WHS laws, WHS risk management and responding to workpace incidents. Students will also learn how to produce complex WHS documents, presentations and instructions and how to promote these within a workplace .
This course also focuses on how to identify hazards and assess risks on domestic and commercial building sites, and establish appropriate control measures for these hazards. Students will be equipped with the skills to consult with management, subcontractors and workers on health and safety concerns as well as contribute to managing incidents and return to work arrangements of staff.
