This course provides comprehensive training in key areas such as financial reporting, payroll management, and the preparation of BAS statements.
Students gain practical experience with industry-standard software such as MYOB and XERO and also learn how to apply accounting principles in real-world scenarios. Upon completion, students will be ready to pursue roles such as a bookkeeper, payroll officer or accounts clerk. This Qualification prepares students for entry into the finance sector and lays the groundwork for future academic and professional advancement.
- Perform essential financial calculations, including GST, discounts, interest, and depreciation
- Compile and present financial reports that comply with accounting standards and meet stakeholder needs. This includes profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
- Understand professional standards, ethical responsibilities, and communication skills required to succeed in the financial services sector
- Prepare and lodge BAS and IAS documents accurately, ensuring compliance with ATO requirements
- Manage payroll processes including calculating wages, superannuation, PAYG withholding, and leave entitlements using accounting software
- Get hands-on experience with industry-standard accounting software
- Develop budgets that support strategic planning and financial control.

- You’ve worked in an office and want to expand your skills. If not, consider FNS30322 Certificate III in Accounts Administration.
