Q- Can placement be completed as a block at the end of a semester or year?
A- In order for students to develop their practical skills, build meaningful relationships with the children and families and complete their assessment tasks, it is a requirement that placement be completed weekly at a ACECQA regulated Early Childhood Service.

Q- I have a young child with no care options available for them while I complete my work placement. Can I bring my child to work placement with me as they will be under my care?
A- Your child is unable to attend work placement with you if they are not an enrolled child at that service. NRTAFE will help you find a work placement. However, we are not able to assist in organising childcare arrangements for your child.

Q- I have a young child with no care options available for them while I attend any optional study classes available on NRTAFE campus. Can I bring my child to the classroom with me?
A- North Regional TAFE is an adult education environment; as such, children are not permitted in the classroom.

Q- Can I complete my placement hours at a Playgroup or a school?
A- Placement hours must be completed at an  ACECQA regulated Early Childhood Service. Placement hours completed at a Playgroup or School will not count towards the 160 mandatory hours, as these settings do not come under ACECQA.

Q- Do I need to purchase the textbooks or is this optional?
A- The Karen Kearns textbooks are an important part of your learning resources, and each student must obtain a current copy
