Possible triggers associated with course content may include personal reflection activities related to identity, wellbeing, and life experiences; discussions regarding social roles, inequality, and cultural identity; group work and peer interactions that may cause anxiety or interpersonal conflict; communication activities such as speaking or presenting in front of others; and tasks that highlight literacy, numeracy, learning difficulties, or low confidence.
Learners may also experience stress or frustration when undertaking problem-solving or digital literacy activities. To support learner wellbeing, potentially triggering content will be identified and discussed with students prior to delivery, and flexible participation options, reasonable adjustments, and access to support services will be provided where required.
