Have you heard the news!? With an overwhelming response to the Women in Non-Traditional Trades (WiNTT) Scholarship, all scholarship places have been filled! We're now welcoming a talented group of women into the Scholarship program.
The Women in Non-Traditional Trades (WINTT) TAFE scholarship program is designed to encourage more women into traditionally male-dominated roles in building and construction, science, technology, engineering, and maths (STEM).
Our 2024 scholarship recipients are already reaping the rewards!
“So far it has helped me achieve a sense of support that I can lean on throughout my apprenticeship, as more often than not we need to supply our own equipment, tools, accessories and suitable PPE to help me while working. It has helped me to buy myself a laptop which is helpful to log and research many things at work. Not to mention it has helped me out with travelling to and from work every day.” Lace Leki, Cert III Engineering- Industrial Electrician
“It has reduced the financial burden of education, allowing me to focus more on my studies and less on financial concerns. I can afford to go to networking events, mentorship programs, and exclusive workshops, which provide valuable industry connections and insights.” - Shauni Dadd, Cert 4 Work Health and Safety
Didn’t make it this year? No worries! The WiNTT scholarship will be available again in 2025!
“Applying for a scholarship can significantly support women, enhance career prospects, and inspire others to pursue their goals.” - Shauni Dadd, Cert 4 Work Health and Safety
“I would definitely recommend other women in trades to apply for this scholarship in 2025 as it has helped me through my journey so far and has provided me with a sense of support and comfort as a woman in a large organisation.” Lace Leki, Cert III Engineering- Industrial Electrician
