Supporting Student Wellbeing

North Regional TAFE’s EAP (Employee Assistant Program), PeopleSense, provides confidential psychological support and counselling services to support to improve the mental health, resilience, and wellbeing of individuals.  They can help with a wide range of issues students may face such as depression, anxiety, stress, family or relationship problems, children's and adolescents' mental health, any work-related issues (like bullying and conflict), alcohol or other substance use problems, grief and loss, trauma, and other issues.

PeopleSense is also proud to have Aboriginal provisional Psychologists who provide support for anyone seeking culturally appropriate counselling, as well as Psychologists who are members/allies of the LGBTQIA+ community.

As a student enrolled at NR TAFE, you are eligible for six (6) free counselling sessions per year with an appropriately qualified psychologist. 

These sessions are available 24/7 and are completely confidential.  You will not require a referral to access these sessions, you can simply call 1300 307 912, book online www.peoplesense.au.

To ensure you will always receive the support you need, no matter where you are or what time of day or night it may be, please take the time to add the EAP’s phone number into your contact list for quick and easy reference. 

NR TAFE is happy for our students to access any of our rooms and/or desk phones if needed for an EAP sessions, we just ask that you liaise with one of our staff and seek availability and their endorsement in the first instance.
